Neat, clean, convenient. They were all business.
Everything was good. Nothing was great. If that is a criticism, sorry. Outside of a lack of greatness, everything was fine.
Free schuttle to things and Metro. Good free breakfast. Let me have my little dog with us.
It suits for the cost.
Convenient location, with lots of shady parking spots.
The tv set was old and poor in size and quality. But worst of all, the channel lineup did not include pbs nor msnbc, two channels I like to watch. The nearby Best Western is better overall.
The room was ok, and had no problemes with the staff
One morning the fire alarm woke us up, it seems that the waffle machine is too sensitive and triggers that alarm. As I was told that was about the fourth time in tree weeks.
We made a number of special requests of staff at front desk--probably a dozen or so such as shuttles, pillows, change, etc.--during our 3 night stay. Always received helpful, willing response. Always very polite, respectful, cheerful. High standard of professionalism.
It's not easy to find at night if you haven't been there before. Zoning laws allow only the tiniest of signs. Don't expect much help from mapquest. The roads are very circular, confusing.
Shuttle service to metro was reliable, breakfast was fair- we had bus tours departing and limited restocking of buffet items. Had an outside pool that had plenty of lounge chairs and tables.
Older hotel with limited electric outlets. Slow internet connection.
Shuttle driver was very pleasant and accomodating
Cost way more than was expected. We booked thinking the rate we received on Booked.net was the flat rate - ended up paying almost $20 more.
There was nothing that I can describe as what I liked best. This place was different from any that I have stayed in. The reason it was selected is because of the low price.
It was not easy to locate. But the biggest concerns were: The first night there we had a fire alarm. I have never experienced anything like this before. There was never any contact with the staff as to what was going on, whether it was a real fire. Guest evacuated the hotel on their own, we heard someone running down the hall shouting fire. When we got outside there were no directions on what to, so everyone just sat around waiting for info. Eventually a fire truck came up and about 30 to 40 minutes later everyone went back in to the hotel. Still no idea about what happened. Then about 20 minutes later after returning to our rooms the alarm went off again. As we exited the room, the alarm went off. We returned to our to only to have it go off again. The staff never gave an explanation. Our second issue was the conflicting info on the shuttle time. We were told that the shuttle passes every 30 minutes until 11:00 pm. We made it back to the metro by 10:50 pm and waited and waited. Luckily we had the hotel number to call and find out when the shullte would arrive. Ther person at the front desk was indifferent to our situation and told us we would have to catch a cab. We did for $11.00. When we arrived we asked again about the shuttle. We could never get a clear answer. We checked out the next day to another hotel that had larger rooms, faster Internet, better quality and larger tv picture, fitness facility and indoor pool.
The room rate which included a full breakfast.
I appreciated being able to modify the reservation which you can't do on other sites.
The price was right. Modest, free breakfast. Clean. Safe location.
The fire alarms went off several times in the middle of the night on the 1st night. No explanation nor apologies!! A large group of tourists with children arrived the 2nd night - 3am. They were allowed to run through the hotel getting settled, shouting to each other down the hallways, ringing phones (including ours), and slamming doors. Yes! They were happy and on vacation and probably still on Asian time. However, hotel staff should have firmly reminded them that others were sleeping and it would have been polite for them to be quiet.
The shuttle bus to Shady Grove metro station is very useful, although you need to make a call when you go back to the hotel. One or two of the staff are friendly. Free internet connection. One desktop in 2nd floor for free usage.
Simple breakfast. Not so many choices. Location not so convenient, no shopping and dining around. Need to go to city by metro.
Proximity to subway and variety of breakfast.
Good rate and availability of shuttle to Metro.
Indifferent front desk personnel.
Air conditioning was not adequate. They came and drained the water so then the carpet stayed wet for 3 days; internet was terrible. Could not get a connection half the time. Complained about both but never was completely satisfied.
